The inspiring story of Happy’s name was featured on Oprah Winfrey. A nomadic ecstatic for 30+ years, Elizabeth travels as a featured guest speaker at churches, colleges, synagogues, universities and spiritual centers, including her Heaven on Earth Retreat & Sanctuary situated in a luxuriant little known desert rainforest in a labyrinth of canyons in Northern Arizona. As an earth-advocate, human rights leader, sleep consultant, fitness friend, songwriter, circle singer, artist, linguist of tribal languages and blissologist, she is at your service.
NATURALIST & GRANITE DELLS GUIDE
In 2019 Elizabeth Forrest Roosevelt or Liz Forrest (aka Happy Oasis) was hired as the showtime naturalist on the Star Princess in Alaska for audiences up to 1,500 people.
She presents four shows entitled: Amazing Alaska, Glaciers, The What's It Like to Live in Alaska and What Lurks Beneath Your Cruise Ship.
In 2001 she debuted as the showtime naturalist on the Dawn Princess in Alaska.
Prior to being hired by Princess Cruises, she explored Alaska with camera in hand via foot, kayak, sail boat, fishing skiff, bus, train, plane, raft, horse, dolphin boat, whale watching cruiser, ship, ferry, helicopter, swim suit and dog sled. As a mountaineer, she roped up to traverse crevasse-laden glaciers, climbed icy cliffs, and descended into eerie, blue ice caves.
She was also a guide on dolphin and whale-watching boats out of Juneau, then worked as a hiking guide with Gastinueau Guiding, Juneau’s most renowned guiding company.
Today, she is your local guide to exploring the gorgeous Granite Dells of Northern Arizona offering bicycling, kayaking and yoga along the trail. Future excursions include exploring the foothills of India's Himalaya's.
