ABOUT HAPPY & FREE

We, Happy and Free (otherwise known as The Love Troubadours), love to host guests from around the world! As an Adventure Anthropologist, Happy lived abroad for more than a decade thus far, mostly out of a backpack, volunteering wherever she roamed.

When not hosting interesting guests, Happy and Free love to travel together in recent years, often in our creational vehicle (our humble RV) both nationally and internationally. Baja California, The Yucatan, Oaxaca and Ajijic, Mexico, Maui, Oregon and Florida are our most common second homes in the winter. We have traveled to about 25 countries, and feel we are just getting started!

Free (otherwise known as Johnny Liberty) is the author of several books including the Global Sovereign's Handbook and the newly released Sovereign's Handbook, while Happy is the author of uncivilized ecstasies, New Zealand's best-selling adventure poetry book and Bliss Conscious Communication, the first playbook in the field of blissology. Both Happy and Free (otherwise known as Johnny Light & Johnny Liberty) enjoy writing songs, playing music and engaging in creative art projects.

We are the only guides in Prescott, Arizona calling ourselves the Granite Dells Guides, specializing in short, fun, easy, affordable excursions in the spectacular wilderness surrounding Heaven on Earth Retreat & Wildlife Sanctuary. Feel free to ask us about guided hiking, bicycling, paddle boarding and kayaking on custom-tailored adventures for individuals or small groups after your arrival.

We are wishing to continuously kaizen the ambiance and improve the quality of experience for our guests, thus, we are always open to constructive suggestions. Most of all, we are at your service, deeply grateful for your future friendship, for your visit and for your consideration!

I COULD NOT IMAGINE
A BETTER CHOICE

“With lots of space to spread out and breathtaking surroundings, this is a place to spoil yourself! Easy access to many trails. Quiet and serene.”

A HOME AWAY FROM HOME

“If you want a unique living experience try this one among the rocks of Granite Gardens in Prescott. The setting is outdoorsy but very comfortable. We appreciated heaters in every room as the nights were cool. Happy is very accommodating and kind. The breakfast was sparse: bananas and apples, but she gave good recommendations for eating out. Hiking trails began right on their property. It is truly an eco friendly place - very quiet and relaxing. The stars were magnificent! Highly recommend.”
